About YouthIncome
We're a small editorial team writing honest, specific guides on real ways for people aged 16–25 to earn money — in the US, UK and EU.
Why we built this
Search "how to make money as a teenager" and you'll drown in the same recycled lists, fake screenshots, and courses selling the dream of effortless income. We got tired of it. The useful version of this advice — what actually pays, how long it really takes, how to get paid when you're young, what to avoid — barely exists in one honest place. So we made it.
Everything here is written for real young people with real constraints: school, limited time, no startup money, and rules about what you can do at your age. We'd rather tell you something pays little than pretend it'll change your life.
How we write
A few principles guide every page:
- Honesty over hype. We include the downsides, the slow parts, and the "this won't work if…" caveats that most sites leave out.
- Specific, not vague. Real platform names, realistic pay ranges, and concrete steps. Where we can't verify a current figure, we flag it rather than invent one.
- No made-up experts or success stories. We write as a team. We don't fabricate credentials, testimonials or case studies.
- Education, not personal advice. We explain how things generally work; we don't give individual financial, legal or tax advice. For decisions that affect your money, check official sources or ask a trusted adult.
Who "we" are
YouthIncome is published by a small independent editorial team. We're writers and researchers, not licensed financial advisers, and we don't pretend otherwise. When a topic touches money, tax or the law, we point you to the official source and recommend getting proper advice for your situation.
How we make money
Keeping the guides free costs something, so we plan to run advertising and may earn affiliate commissions when you sign up for a tool or service we recommend — at no extra cost to you. We only suggest things we'd point a friend toward, and we mark affiliate links clearly. Our recommendations are never for sale. Read the full affiliate disclosure.
