Privacy Policy
Plain-English summary
We keep data collection to a minimum. The site works with essential cookies only. We won't load analytics or advertising cookies unless you accept them in the consent banner. Our interactive tools run entirely in your browser and don't send your inputs anywhere.
This policy explains what information YouthIncome ("we", "us") collects when you use youthincome.com, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have. We've written it to be readable; where it touches the law, treat it as our genuine intent, and contact us if anything is unclear.
Note for the site owner: [VERIFY: before publishing, confirm your legal entity name, country of operation, the actual analytics/ad providers you use, and add a registered contact address if required in your jurisdiction. Consider a short legal review for GDPR/UK GDPR/CCPA compliance.]
Who we are
YouthIncome is an editorial website providing general information about earning money for people aged 16–25. You can reach us via our contact page or at hello@youthincome.com.
What we collect
- Information you give us. If you email us or use the contact form, we receive what you send (such as your name, email and message) so we can reply.
- Automatic technical data. Like most websites, our hosting may log standard information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, for security and basic operation.
- Analytics and advertising data (only with consent). If you accept non-essential cookies, our analytics and/or advertising partners may collect usage data to measure traffic and show ads. If you decline, these are not loaded.
Our calculator and matcher process your inputs locally in your browser. We don't transmit or store those answers.
Cookies and consent
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use:
- Essential cookies / local storage needed for the site to function and to remember your cookie choice. These are always active because the site can't work properly without them.
- Analytics and advertising cookies that are off by default. They are only set if you choose "Accept all" in our consent banner. You can decline with "Reject non-essential", and the site still works fully.
To change your choice later, clear this site's data in your browser settings and the consent banner will appear again. [VERIFY: if you add a specific consent-management tool or want a persistent "manage cookies" link, document it here.]
Advertising
We plan to fund the site with advertising. When enabled and with your consent, an ad provider (for example, a network such as Google AdSense or a comparable service) may use cookies to serve and measure ads. [VERIFY: name the exact ad network(s) you use and link to their privacy/partner policies once live.] You can control personalised advertising through your provider's settings and your device/browser controls.
Affiliate links
Some links are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you sign up or buy, at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links don't change what we recommend. See our affiliate disclosure for details.
How we use information
We use the limited data we collect to operate and secure the site, respond to your messages, understand (in aggregate) how the site is used so we can improve it, and — with consent — to display advertising that keeps the content free.
Sharing
We don't sell your personal information. We may share limited data with service providers who help us run the site (such as hosting, analytics or advertising partners), and where required by law. These providers process data under their own terms.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or laws like the CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, contact us and we'll respond as required by applicable law.
Children and age
Our content is aimed at people aged 16–25, and some readers are under 18. We aim to collect as little personal data as possible. If you're under the age at which you can consent to data processing in your country, please use the site without accepting non-essential cookies, and involve a parent or guardian for anything that requires providing personal information. [VERIFY: confirm the minimum digital-consent age handling appropriate to your audience and jurisdictions.]
Data retention & security
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected (for example, email correspondence) and take reasonable measures to protect it. No website can guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your information safe.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves or the law changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Significant changes will be made clear on this page.
